A lot of the news and discussion in the Apple vs. Google war is driven by the flash player.
This is largely due to the ubiquity of Apple devices, and the fact that Flash is the most popular application in the world.
But for a variety of reasons, Apple’s Flash Player has a bit more trouble playing back native videos.
It’s been an issue for a long time, but it got worse this past year as Google’s Chrome browser improved its compatibility with Apple’s platform.
That said, if you want to watch native videos in Safari, you’ll need to download a newer version of Chrome than Flash Player 7.
It also turns out that there are a lot of issues with iOS 8 that will cause issues with Apple devices.
